Quadrant, Cortech team for museum security

LONDON—Quadrant Security Group has completed a large-scale security deployment for the Museum of London based on an integrated software solution from Cortech Developments, which unites CCTV and intrusion detection and streamlines overall operations.

At the Museum of London, one of the world’s largest history museums, Cortech’s Datalog SMS solution has allowed for the replacement of old, disparate systems with a single operating routine for monitoring and controlling the museum’s entire range of integrated CCTV and intruder hardware.

The system has resulted in what the museum calls “significant cost and operational benefits” through the centralization of its security operation. The main control room is situated at the Museum of London and events here are monitored at two other remote sites—Museum of London Docklands and Museum of London Archeology.

“We have invested in a high security solution that is driven by Cortech’s software, enabling us to simplify our operating process,” the museum’s head of facilities and security, Steven Cox, said in a statement. “Using a combination of people and technology, we are able to maximize response time for alarms and deploy resources within seconds.”
