Camera manufacturer adds display solutions to portfolio

CHERTSEY, UK—A major manufacturer of security cameras and DVRs announced this week that it has entered the display solutions market with the addition of large-format monitors to its portfolio of security products.

“Our customers can be assured that Samsung Techwin can now offer display solutions that match the high quality output of our cameras, domes and DVRs,” the company’s European product manager Peter Ainsworth said in a statement.

The two new large-format monitors released by Samsung Techwin are designed for professional 24/7 security applications, boasting 1366 x 768 resolution screens, anti screen burn technology to prolong monitor life, built-in speakers and a range of input options including composite video, HDMI, VGA and DVI.

A video wall mode allows several monitors to be connected together to display one image, making the new monitors suitable for large control room environments as well as for singular display, while “pivot” technology allows for images and text to be rotated up to 90 degrees without distortion.

The company is also offering a full range of brackets for all types of mounting options.
