OSLO--ESP Group, a systems integrator based here and working with broadband, mobile, ICT and broadcasting technology, has won a contract from Avinor, the owner and operator of Norway's airports, to provide a video surveillance system with embedded video content analysis to 40 Norwegian airports.
The ESP solution will feature video content analysis software from intelligent video specialist ObjectVideo. Under the terms of the deal, ESP will supply the 40 Avinor-operated airports with SoIP (Security over IP) Intelligence, its integrated video surveillance system, which includes ObjectVideo's OnBoard digital signal processor-based suite of intelligent video software. The system will provide rules-based event detection, classification, tracking and real-time alerting.
STORY CONTINUES BELOWAdvertisement "By including video content analysis as a central component of the solution, [the ESP Group] is ensuring that Norway's airports are taking advantage of the latest in intelligent video technology," ObjectVideo's European manager Carlos Angeles said in a statement.
