Hitachi partners with Optic Vision
MAIDENHEAD, UK--Hitachi Europe announced Friday that it is joining forces with UK-based security solutions provider Optic Vision to promote and deploy Optic Vision's software-enabled security solutions to the EMEA marketplace.

Optic Vision has developed an information security software suite, VigilancePro, which provides insider threat management and data loss protection for enterprises by integrating with physical and technical security countermeasures to provide what the company calls a "holistic approach to safeguarding data."

"We are very excited by the potential of this strategic cooperation," Optic Vision's managing director, Andy Durham, said in a statement. "[Hitachi's] advanced work and expertise in the field of finger vein biometric products and RFID solutions are particularly relevant and, in combination, will further extend the opportunities for VigilancePro."

In combination, technologies from the two companies provide organizations with the ability to identify, monitor, record and report on how users access, process, store and transmit sensitive information. In addition, multi-factor transaction level authentication helps secure financial and other potentially vulnerable transactions.
