Electronic passports are one example of identity documents that Soliatis Lab certifies. Testing is carried out in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) specifications, and the company noted that the extended access control (EAC) specification implemented in the new European biometric ePassport is also covered by the certification.

"This new laboratory service meets the demand of our customers and it is a sound complement to Soliatis' test tool offering," Soliatis general manager Michael Leplatois said in a statement.

The Soliatis Lab is currently set up based on the ISO 17025 standard, which encompasses the general requirements for testing and calibration laboratories to ensure quality test results.
