BSIA releases access control handbook
WORCESTER, UK--The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has published a new access control systems handbook and logbook for installed systems, aimed at supporting installers.

The BSIA called the handbook "an essential tool to accompany the installation of any access control system." BSIA technical and membership services director Alex Carmichael said: "Providing comprehensive information to customers on their access control system is a vital point of any installer's service."

The publication contains an overview of system management responsibilities, including the nominated person's duties, maintenance and servicing requirement and the customers legal obligations; access control system service record, where details of maintenance checks and repairs can be recorded and details on relevant standards and legislation.
