Loomis buys U.S.'s EM Armored Car Service
STOCKHOLM--Loomis, the cash handling division of Securitas, announced Tuesday it has acquired the cash handling services provider EM Armored Car Service, based in the U.S. state of Georgia, for SEK 11.9mln, or approximately EUR 1.27mln.

EM Armored Car Service employs 50 people and registers annual sales of approximately SEK 17mln (EUR 1.82mln).

In a statement, Securitas said the acquisition will "enable meaningful synergies in the south of Georgia market where Loomis has sizable operations and allow the introduction of integrated technology enabled solutions there."

The acquisition will be consolidated in Loomis as of Sept. 1, 2008.
