ADT delivers business intel for Grupo Cortefiel stores across Europe

MADRID--ADT has installed Sensormatic SmartEAS technology to deliver both security and business intelligence for Spain's Grupo Cortefiel network of fashion stores in countries across Europe.

The solution, deployed at Grupo Corefiel stores in Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Hungary and Germany, links information from anti-theft, alarm management, people counting and point-of-sale systems with the SmartEAS platform, which is designed to provide information to store operators which can increase efficiency and profitability.

In addition to providing security via the Sensormatic anti-theft system, the SmartEAS system can take data on things like people flow from each Grupo Cortefiel store and generate reports on a range of information, including comparison of sales figures to store traffic.

"Delivering business intelligence is the next step in terms of loss prevention," ADT's director of strategic accounts for southern and western Europe, Ricardo Arroyo, said in a statement. "Our SmartEAS technology will allow Grupo Cortefiel to efficiently link and use the information from its anti-theft and point-of-sales systems," he continued. "This integration provides real-time intelligence at the store, region and corporate level, enabling the ability to act quickly."
